Ice hockey icon Wayne Gretzky is credited with the quote:
„Don’t skate where the puck is. Skate, where the puck will be!“
This quote describes my personal approach pretty well. For more than 25 years, I have been dealing with the question of how markets, technologies, brands and business models are changing – and how companies can take advantage of these changes.
Today, I work at the interface of strategic foresight, innovation and strategy. I observe social, technological, cultural and economic developments, identify relevant signals and translate them into scenarios. From these, I then derive strategic options and concrete fields of innovation.
In doing so, I combine analytical depth with entrepreneurial thinking and creative implementation. My aim is not to predict the future exactly. Rather, it is about recognizing possible developments at an early stage, identifying influencing factors, determining probabilities, and thus enabling organizations to make better decisions for their future.
